Nomination & Eligibility Protocol

Membership within the Undergraduate Faculty Student Research Consortium (UFSR) is conferred exclusively through faculty nomination and institutional endorsement. Direct applications are not accepted.

Eligibility Framework

• Active participation in supervised undergraduate research.

• Documented contribution to a peer-reviewed publication, conference submission, or institutional research archive.

• Minimum cumulative GPA equivalent of 3.85 (or institutional highest distinction equivalent).

• Written endorsement from two tenured or tenure-track faculty members.

• Demonstrated involvement in advanced laboratory, computational, theoretical, or policy research initiatives.

• Verified institutional standing free of academic or ethical violations.

• Completion of institutional research compliance certifications where applicable.

Selection & Review Cycle

Nominations are reviewed biannually by a rotating advisory panel composed of senior faculty fellows and institutional research liaisons. Evaluation criteria include academic distinction, research rigor, intellectual independence, and ethical standing.

Only a limited percentage of nominees are granted provisional access clearance. Final membership status is determined following an internal review process.
